Support Engineer (m/w)

Responsibilities

• Analysis and solution of complex IT network problems (1st and 2nd level support)
• Provision of remote and/or local support (includes telephone and email support)
• Determination of client requirements
• Team-based solution development

Qualifications

• Successfully completed qualification as a computer scientist (specialization: system integration) or equivalent qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience (preferable)
• Knowledge of and experience with (preferable): MS operating systems, Linux, Cisco switching and routing technology, Nortel and/or Enterasys technology, TCP/IP, switching and routing protocols, network management
• Systematic, analytical, structured, reliable way of working and thinking
• Specialist expertise coupled with social competence
• Resistance to stress, high level of dedication
• Ability to cooperate and work in a team
• Competence and friendliness when dealing with clients
• Willingness to work on a shift basis (24/7)
• Very good German language skills
