ENTIRETEC LIAISES WITH LUXURY HOTEL GROUP KEMPINSKI ON A MANAGED SERVICE CONCEPT FOR SECURE GUEST INTERNET
The introduction of high-speed internet access (HSIA) at Kempinski has seen the hotel group opt for ENTIRETEC’s SECTOR application and flexible Managed Service concept. The first implementation project has already been carried out at the prestigious Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz in Switzerland, with additional Kempinski group hotels to follow by 2013.
ENTIRETEC SECTOR enables Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group Kempinski to give its guests and employees secure, high-availability access to network resources and the internet. The design phase placed key emphasis on user friendliness, flexibility and cost management.
To give an example of the benefits, the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains is now able to use ENTIRETEC’s novel Managed Service concept to create a bespoke IT landscape which can be tailored to the specific needs of guests and employees at any time. What is more, the luxury hotel group not only avoids the considerable costs associated with system modifications, licenses and the additional purchase of individual software solutions, but also minimizes administrative effort thanks to the central management of guest internet services.
ENTIRETEC takes central responsibility for configuration, maintenance and support – allowing the luxury hotel group to focus on its core business. The innovative guest internet solution welcomes users with a user-friendly landing page structured according to the elegant Kempinski design template. From there they can register and gain automatic access to the services they are authorized to use. Data security is naturally guaranteed from the perspective of both hotel guests and group employees.
A link to the hotel group‘s in-house property management system enables SECTOR to draw on existing guest data, thereby facilitating user-specific internet services such as a personalized greeting or allocation to a particular bandwidth. A number of billing models are available and applied according to the guest’s status. Last but not least, the traceability and accurate dating of any instances of misuse ensure that the guest internet solution fulfills all legal requirements.

By 2013 a further five Kempinski hotels are to be equipped with and centrally managed by the novel guest internet solution developed by ENTIRETEC.
