Erika Vargas

Erika has been living in Germany since 2019 and initially focused on learning German intensively in Stuttgart. Her goal was to return to her role as a Support Engineer – a job she thoroughly enjoyed back in her home country of Colombia. During her search, she discovered ENTIRETEC and has been a valued member of our network operations team since 2020.

She appreciates the personal atmosphere of small teams and the many opportunities to expand her expertise. Exciting customer projects and a wide range of training options help satisfy her curiosity and drive to learn. During a service rollout for a customer site in Colombia, Erika was able to contribute not only her networking skills but also her language and cultural understanding. She even had the chance to work remotely from her home country for an extended period – a win-win for Erika, for us, and for our customer.

Compared to Colombia, there are still significantly fewer women working in IT in Germany. Erika wants to encourage other women to pursue careers in tech, as the field offers great variety and excellent development opportunities. And when she’s not fully immersed in our customers’ network topics, she’s out exploring the region on her road bike – which she says is much safer than cycling back home.
